Botanical Medicine
Plants have been used as medicine since the beginning of time. Through trial and error, clinical work and more recently scientific experimentation, we have found that plants in different forms have physiological effects on the body, from being nutritious and supportive to normal function to having a direct effect on function and disease processes. Many botanical medicines are powerful medicine and should be administered by a trained professional who is trained in the potential side effects and interactions between plant medicines and pharmaceutical prescriptions.
